THE OFFICIAL GRID

The Lunar Grid Reference System is NASA and USGS's MGRS-style grid for the Moon: 25-km cells covering the entire surface, down to 1-meter precision. NavLunar implements the full published spec (projections, zones, and lettering) and tests it against the USGS reference implementation.

PERMALINKS FOR THE MOON

Point at a place on the Moon the way you share a map pin. Every grid cell and all 9,086 IAU-named features get permanent, linkable URLs, plus 57 landing and impact sites, from Luna 2 to the newest CLPS landers.

THE LIVE TERMINATOR

A lunar day lasts about 29.5 Earth days. NavLunar computes the sunrise line from solar ephemeris in real time, so you can watch dawn crawl across Mare Imbrium and know which craters are in daylight right now.
